Ephemera all housed in a genuine cowhide ‘Honorable Discharge World War 2’ zip-able leather paper documents case which once belonged to a;
Mr Fortunato J Lorenzo.
DOB: 19/10/1922
Born: Waltham, Massachusetts, USA

Enrolled at 17 into the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) whereby he served as an auto-mechanic at SW Harbor, Maine between 17/07/1940 – 01/02/1941 after he was Honourably Discharged following agreement of employment elsewhere.
Its believed he enrolled as an Apprentice Seaman on the 27/06/1942 before achieving Disenrollment of his own request 5 months later on the 09/11/1942 to then work simply as a Deck Hand for 3 years before being Honourably discharged once again to work as a Truck driver in the US Army between 15/06/1945 and 07/02/1946.
He mobilised light trucks, carrying personnel and equipment in the Mediterranean theatre of operations.
Other documents included in this bundle belonging and used by Fortunato include:
-Change of beneficiary for his life insurance policy when working as a apprentice seaman/deck hand. Changed on 06/04/1943.
-Change of Beneficiary for his life insurance policy, changed in November 1945.
-Record of personnel enrolment for CCC card
-CCC unit certificate for his auto mechanics course
-Proof of his National Maritime union wartime shipping card stamped 15/03/1945.
-x10 payslips for his time working with maritime union.
-National maritime union of America Membership pocket book.
-A hand written Chinese poem
-X4 advertisement cards of ‘Macks’ and ‘Nats’ Army Stores and ‘Monsours in and out wine and beer shop’
