Rare RAF SMLE 1907 Pattern Bayonet
This is a rare First World War dated RAF issued SMLE 1907 Pattern Bayonet & Scabbard that was made by Sanderson and is dated 1907.The RAF was formed on 1st April 1918. The Pommel is marked to the Royal Air Force and reads "R.A.F. 1.C. 3527".The initials 1.C. are believed to be he RAF regiment/section number and 3527 the rack or weapon number.This bayonet also fits the Lanchester machine gun that was used by the RAF during WWII.
