A World War 2 British Air Ministry Escape Axe
This axe bears the typically seen Air Ministry mark and crown, with a hard to make out date but believed to be 1943.These axes were designed to cut through the thin aluminium of the fuselage.Told by the owner that it came out of a Lancaster but this cannot be confirmed.Elwell makers mark very clear
