Description
WW1 British No 15 MK1 Ball Grenade Money Box
Inert 3” diameter cast iron, missing fuse tube and fuse cover securing ring.
Slit cut in top to create money box and nice screw bottom access
Produced in 1915, this pattern was deemed too large for handling and over charged producing excess fragmentation. Evidently the standard pattern used a hand ignited fuse. Another source describes arming by tapping the fuse.
