Scarce Type 2 Tiger and Rose Badge.This badge has had its loops (which dates it as 1897 to 1903) removed and replaced with a pin fixing. It is believed, although difficult to prove conclusively, that badges fitted with this type of fixing were used on the Foreign Service (or Pith) Helmet and were fitted to a Puggeree (a piece of cloth wrapped around the helmet).
