WW2 J Winternitz Neffen Butchers Knife with Waffenamt clearly visible on the handle and blade.
The company Joachim WINTERNITZ's and Neffen Metallwaren- und Messerfabrik was owned by Josef Stein and Moritz Schulz and was located on Hammerschmiedberg in STEYR/Upper Austria.
They operated from 1883 making Solingen type blades through WW1 and into WW2.
The business was dissolved in 1940 as the owners were of Jewish decent.
This is a stunning butchers knife with a 190mm long blade and riveted handle, still razor sharpe and in excellent condition.
