A quite stunning example of a WW2 German Amry (heer) Panzer or Panzerjäger officer visor cap ‘Schirmmütze’
Constructed in a high quality wool, no repairs, very good lightly used service condition.
Perfect piped with the pink Panzer waffenfarbe.
The insignia is originally applied to the Cap, both eagle and cockade being aluminium.
The peak or visor in black vulkanfibre above which sits the silver wire twist chin cord. The underside of the visor is a light tan with the cross-hatch grip pattern.
Sweatband is light tan leather and remains firmly stitched in place. The lining is undamaged but the diamond sweat shield has a small chunk out and the tailor’s label is missing.
