This pistol came into service with law enforcement and armed forces all across Europe including France, Belgium, Denmark and Switzerland. Many of these pistols would serve with the German army after the capture of Fabrique Nationale’s manufacturing plants in 1914. This model of pistol is also famous for its role in the assassination of Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand by Gavrilo Princip and the assassination of French president Paul Doumer in 1932
