Vintage Cast Iron Scales with Butter SlabThe best thing is that these have the original scale plate which states JUSTITIA ET FIDES (Justice and Faith) and has the emblem of these personified by two ladies underneath with the lion and globe. The plate is scratched and marked commensurate with age.Lovely set of circa 1900 distressed scales. Paint is all gone and patina is a little rusty.
