Alldays & Onions - Small Heath, Birmingham cast iron plate.Unknown what this was originally used for but is a unique piece of automobile history from the Peaky Blinders area of Small Heath in Birmingham.The Alldays & Onions Pneumatic Engineering Co. of Birmingham, was a company founded in 1889 by the merger of the long established Onions( The company was founded by a family of craftsmen named Onions who manufactured bellows in their shed in the shadow of Dudley Castle. This was in 1650, during the reign of King James the First.) and William Allday & Co. (formed by William Allday in 1720) engineering companies.As well as making cars and motorcycles they also made goods for the railways and blacksmiths.This 68x24cm cast iron plate would look amazing on the wall outside or inside the mancave.
